Expressing myself has never been a problem. Expressing myself adequately may be up for debate. Certain things bother me. War and pain against others are at least two things. There are other things that grab my attention. Life, in the many forms, makes me sit up and write. See what you think…

Just what it says on the tin. or screen. or paper. or toilet wall.

Ode To Coke. By C.p.Singleton (c) 2012 http://wp.me/p27egX-34

This is based on the fact that to grow you have to accept.

  1. No time to check you out…but you sound like a HSP type Highly sensitive person…need to take care of you and do not burn out read the TAO and take time for silence and dancing under the moon with love of your life.
Second being HSP myself i stay away from horror, there is enough in the world I do not want imagine more. I am a weakling in that area, too vivid imagination.
need ideas? I have too many!

  3. thanks for liking the blog on writing as an expression of oneself. we really have to be ourselves when we write. we should not be dictated by the norms found in books.

  10. I like the first comment about being a highly sensitive person (HSP). I think most artists, writers, poets..fall into that category. Breathing the world in, sometimes it’s almost too much to take in. Then it’s blanket and pillow time! 😉

  14. Thank you for taking the time to read my poetry. The variety of things you have tried, (especially children’s poetry and fiction) has inspired me to try similar experiments.

  16. Thank you so much for liking my poem Sister Lightly. I wrote it to add to a thank you letter for a Christmas present my sister-in-law sent me. That woman is very much the woman in the poem.
